I hope you’re staying safe in all the snowy weather the USA is getting right now! Or… you may be on the coast like two of our members, Summer and Claire are, and getting 70* weather. Lucky ducks, huh? As much as I (Hadassah) love snowy weather, I think by the time February comes around (which January is already flyingggg by for me!) I will be wanting the warm weather to come!
*edit: at least Claire is… Summer is getting 30* weather in GA! xD
Anyways… so obviously the name of our blog is “Joyfully You,” – – so our goal is to spread joy, right? Yep. And one thing that we know is: that joy comes from Jesus Christ.
Over Christmas break, Claire came up from Alabama, and Geneva came home from Canada for a short time. It was SO good seeing both of them! When I had to say good-bye again (with tears in my eyes), I thought the same thing about both of them. They spread joy. They’re naturally joyful. They’re happy people.
I got to thinking: We’re joyful. All the girls on this team are joyful- because they all know Jesus as their Lord & Savior. It sounds kind of weird that I’d never thought about that. I’d always thought that Joyfully You was to spread Jesus’ joy and love to other girls- and it is! Even other people- besides teen girls like us.
We’re not perfect. We can’t always be joyful! But when we’re together, we’re pretty happy, just sayin’. 😀 In fact, you’ve probably seen our group pictures around the blog. We were laughing all throughout that photoshoot* last spring!!
*Yes, hopefully we’re getting another one done some point this year! And we’re hoping everyone or at least more of us can make it*
Someone asked me the other day if I ever get tired of smiling. It was probably my little sister, haha. xD But no, I don’t. I’m a generally happy person, and I love BEING happy. The #1 reason (s) is because Jesus SAVED me! He LOVES me, and He MADE me!
Jesus MADE YOU. He LOVES YOU. He created YOU!
So what’s my point for this blog post? Jesus is our JOY. Remember that next time you’re feeling down, or sad, or anxious. And thanks for reading my rambles. You’re the best!
“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
p.s. Also, FK&C’s song, “joy,” is so awesome! I’ve already seen the music video so many times, haha! Go check it out here.
