Holiday Antiquing || Recap!

Hey all!

First of all, just a huge thank you to all of you who wished me a happy birthday a few weeks ago! I had a wonderful birthday, and I wanted to share with y’all a fun something that I (Hadassah) got to do for it!

The Sunday before my birthday, my wonderful Nana took me and some friends (including Senait!) to this adorable town called Waynesville after church. We ate lunch at a café (above), and then went to a few shops in the town. The town was getting ready for Christmas that weekend, so everything was holiday-themed, and we heard Christmas music wherever we went.

When we were in this one shop, Meraki, we got to try on all these fun hats (Senait looks like she’s on a safari!) and the owner took a photo of us. That’s my Nana in the background. Don’t you just love my red hat? xD

Btw, the two girls on the left are two of our (my and Senait’s) amazing friends and yes, they are sisters! We’ve all been going to church together since the time we were all really little.

Upstairs this shop had all these clothes on consignment, and as a challenge, the shop owner let us pick out an outfit and style it for her! We had SO much fun picking out outfits. These are the outfits we ended up choosing, and honestly, these are our personalities right here. XD

Also… no, I’m not that tall haha! I was wearing these insane pair of heels just for fun. It was weird being as tall as everyone else, lol!

I ended up getting this cute LOFT dress and the tee underneath. (The headband I got on Amazon ages ago.)

Senait didn’t end up getting her outfit, but doesn’t she look amazing in blue?? SO pretty! I love her kimono wrap too. 😉

I wished the entire JY team could’ve come with us that day! We’re hoping to do something fun together over the holidays though… so stay tuned!

Hadassah ❤

Oh my goodness, that looks so fun! It looks like you had an AMAZING time! Happy super late birthday, haha—I hope you had a wonderful one! ❤️

And oh my goodness, your friend group looks so fun and amazing!!! Could I ask a few questions about that? How did you establish a close-knit group of Christian friends like that? That’s something I’ve always wanted, but I’ve only been able to make one or two close friends everywhere I go (since most girls my age at church are already in a close-knit group), and really close friends online. Just curious if you have any advice! 💖

      Hi Madison!

Aw thanks! I did have an awesome birthday! ❤

Honestly, having a close-knit group of Christian girls is something really amazing and something we're so blessed with.
As we got older, girls in our church started getting closer, just because we go through so much in our teen years and it's really encouraging to hear other thoughts on subjects. Some advice would just be to be friendly, and open up new topics with girls! Senait and I really didn't become really close 'til this past year, actually, just because we had other friends and I didn't know her all that well.
It's hard to make new friends; I totally understand your struggle!
Also, just praying really helps me, whenever I'm dealing with friend drama or just trying to be friends with someone. =) Most of the time, when I make a new friend, I'm stretching myself out of my comfort zone (even though, yes, this girl is an extravert right here haha) and just learning new things about people.

Hope this helps! Thanks for your comment girl! It really made me feel thankful for friends. ❤

      Kiara,

I think my suggestion would be just be true to who you are! Jesus made you as a beautiful child of God, and people can see that when that Light shines through!
Open up to people and start new conversations. Some of my best friends became my best friends when we talked about hard things together. 🙂

I know how hard it can be to talk to people, Kiara! Often I have certain things I say to people to start conversations.
Like, “What do you like to do in your free time?” Or even just sharing something special that happened to me recently, or just asking somebody if they’d like to hangout sometime to become better friends- – it’s hard making friends, but honesty is important! 🙂 🙂
