Hello lovely readers! Caroline here. 🙂 It’s already September! Wow! I know summer is quickly coming to an end, but I wanted to share some recipes that I’ve made this summer and just some yummy looking recipes that would be great to try! Let the mouthwatering begin!
I could eat this all. the. time. My family absolutely loved this salad! Pecans, cheese, and strawberries on salad…can’t get much better than that! Also, this salad had a delicious poppy seed dressing! Instead of feta, like the original recipe called for, I diced up mozzarella. Yum!
This is one of the most delicious healthy drinks ever! I could sip this all day. It’s minty, and you can put chocolate chips on top! Best of all, there is spinach in it which makes it super healthy! It also gives it a lovely natural green. So next time you’re craving a less than healthy milkshake from a restaurant, whip this one up instead. You won’t be disappointed!
I’m a big fan of meals-in-bowls! A regular at my house is making taco bowls filled with quinoa or rice, beans, chicken, spinach/lettuce, salsa, and cheese. We all love them. Now, I have not made this recipe yet, but it definitely looks delicious, healthy, and filling. Also, there’s hummus on top. I. love. hummus. Hummus is amazing! My family can buy a tub of hummus at Costco, and eat half the tub in one sitting…though we can do that with Costco salsa too (well, it’s understandable when you have a big family! 🙂 ). Any other big families out there? You know what I mean about going through food fast. 😉
I’ve officially had this delectable dessert two glorious times, one of them being when I made it for my parents’ anniversary dinner. ❤ My finished cake is not as beautiful as the original recipe’s pictures, so hop over there to see them. Does that ever happen to you??? Anyways, this cake is a wonderfully delicious dessert that works for many people, even those with food allergies. It is gluten free, refined sugar free, dairy free, can be made egg free (just use flax eggs), and peanut free, and yet it’s still sweet and amazing! Wow – you gotta try this.
Well, that’s it for the recipe inspo. I hope the rest of your summer is calm and restful. If you’re back in school or heading back to school soon, I hope it’s going well! Don’t forget to do some things you enjoy as well. Take rests and sleep! School is not everything, although even I act like it is sometimes.
