I know it’s not Thanksgiving yet, but I am grateful.
I am grateful for this amazing year. I think it’s really easy to focus on the bad parts of the past two years. Y’all know what I’m talking about and these things continue to fill the news, continue to fill our conversations, our prayers.
But I am grateful because He is still good through the messiness. Through my messiness, through my chaos. He has filled this year with so many blessings and it’s not even over yet!
At the beginning of the year, I chose my word “content” for 2021. This word has got me through a lot of the unknowns I faced this year, and I love that God gives me such a good word for every single year! I am beyond grateful for that.
Here are just some things I’m grateful for that happened this year:
-getting a job at my favorite local antique + home goods store
-making new friends and new best friends
-joining a new church + joining the youth group (first and last time, lol)
-exceeding my goal for funds for a missions trip (that was later postponed, but now I am fully funded for *hopefully* next year!)
-discovering how much I love country music 😉 + music in general!
-performing a WWII musical at our city’s theater and loving every moment of it
-starting the JY podcast & reaching four years with y’all!
-an incredible summer soccer season
-starting my senior year!!
-first year doing VBS and loving all the kid + tye-dye time (well, mostly xD)
-baseball games & Yankee games on tv with my sibs every summer evening
-flying by myself to the coast for the first time to visit my childhood bestie, Claire, + trying sushi & seeing the ocean for the first time!
-all the quality time I spend with my siblings and my family. I don’t deserve such an amazing family ❤
-all the morning sunrises, night stars, summer fireflies, and autumn bonfires. And incredible sunsets like these:
I could go on and on about how much my Father has done for me… what are some amazing ways He’s blessed you this year? Let’s brag on Him in the comments below!! I’d love to hear your stories & your happy moments. ✨
Let’s be grateful together!
